Observe a Class or Participate in an Aikido Lounge


If you are considering joining the dojo, we recommend that you either observe a class or join us in an Aikido Lounge first.

Sensei or another instructor will be happy to answer any questions.

If you are joining us in an Aikido Lounge, please be sure to arrive before the 6:15 start time.

Aikido of San Diego is centrally located in the Grantville neighborhood, one block south and west of the intersection of Mission Gorge Road and Friars Road in San Diego, California. There is plenty of off-street parking in front of, to the side of, and behind our building.

Directions

From the west (Mission Valley, Linda Vista, Old Town, Hillcrest, Mission Hills, Ocean Beach, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach), take 8 east to 15 north. Exit at Friars Rd. and go east to Riverdale.

From East County, La Mesa, El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside, or Alpine, take 8 west to 15 north. Exit at Friars Rd. and go east to Riverdale.

From the College Area (SDSU), Del Cerro, Rolando, Lake Murray, or Fletcher Hills, take 8 west to 15 north. Exit at Friars Rd. and go east to Riverdale.

From downtown San Diego, the Gaslamp, East Village, Coronado, South Park, or Golden Hill, take 94 east to 15 north. Exit at Friars Rd. and go east to Riverdale.

From the north (Tierrasanta, Clairemont, Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa, Rancho Bernardo, Escondido), take 15 south. Exit at Friars Rd. and go east to Riverdale.

From the south (Adams, Kensington, Fairmont, North Park, Talmadge), take 15 north. Exit at Friars Rd. and go east to Riverdale.

From Spring Valley, Jamul, Lemon Grove, or Rancho San Diego take 125 north to 8 west, to 15 north. Exit at Friars Rd. and go east to Riverdale.

Via public transportation: We are about a mile north of the Grantville trolley station, and one block from the number 13 MTS bus route.
Take bus 13 to the stop near Mission Gorge and Vandever. Walk west down the hill to Riverdale St. The dojo will be right in front of you. Here's the MTS Trip Planner if you need it.
