Aikido is a collaborative martial art rooted in a principle of unity. It's a positive way to engage conflict, and an embodied practice for navigating life with more power, wisdom, and grace. Aikido means, “The way of unifying with life energy.
Established in 2000, Aikido of San Diego is a community dedicated to the martial art of Aikido as a Life art. Membership includes all classes in our regular schedule plus in-house community events. We also have a program just for youth.
Dave Goldberg is the founder of Aikido of San Diego. He's a 6-degree black belt in Aikido and is known for his innovative, embodied approach to the art. Aikido of San Diego is also home to other experienced, senior-students who teach classes weekly.
Ages 6+. Jay Palm and Maru Melcon teach our youth program.
All levels are welcomed. Goldberg Sensei teaches this class.
Beginners are welcomed and expected in any of our classes. This one, however, focuses on a full hour of basics for support or review. Linda Eskin normally teaches this class.
All levels are welcomed. Our senior-student staff members teach this class.

This is an informal training gathering for adult members to work on their stuff, whatever that stuff is. It's supervised by senior students and Goldberg Sensei.
