Aikido is a martial art rooted in a principle of unity. It has no competitive element. Like Yin and Yang, partners in conflict collaborate to a more balanced and affirming outcome. It's a positive way to engage life, and an embodied practice for cultivating more power, wisdom, and grace. Aikido means, “The way of unifying with life energy."
Established in 2000, Aikido of San Diego is a community of people from all walks of life who are committed to a martial arts training experience that supports real personal development and evolution. Membership includes all classes in our regular schedule plus in-house community events. We also have a program just for youth.
