Teens Mentorship Program

What is the Teens Mentorship Program?

It consists of a program in which teens offer social service to our Dojo community assisting in kids class (and/or other events), and they get mentored to improve their leadership skills and confidence.

It is meant to be a unique experience where teens learn important skills, many of which we learn in aikido, but this time applied to real life situations! 

Eligibility

Teens who have been enrolled in our Aikido of San Diego (ASD) Teens program for at least 3 months and have consistently come to class.

What do teens get from signing up for our unique Mentorship Program?

  • More aikido training hours towards their promotion
  • Valuable experience to learn the “backstage” of class preparation and debrief
  • Individualized coaching 
  • Social service hours for school
  • Certificate of completion after the first year

 

Cost

This program is free for student enrolled in the ASD Teens program.
